To Introduce the Investigation Project of National Pollution Source
The National Institute of Environmental Research conducts the annual survey of water quality pollutant sources throughout the country in accordance with the Water Environment Conservation Act. The data collected through this projecr is being used as basic data for various national statistics and administrative agencies.
The scope and content of the investigation are to identify the dietribution of pollution sources at each water-basin and administrative district across the entire country. The survey items are seven sources of pollution: domestic, livestock, industry, landuse, landfill, and environmental infrastructure. The results of the investigation data can be confirmed in the pollution sources input website(wems.nier.go.kr).
